Finding a study spot can sometimes be difficult with all the options around USC. Depending on a day, we might want a quieter study spot, a study spot with good food, a study spot where we can talk to friends, a late-night study spot, etc. Even though there are resources such as Google Maps or Reddit threads we can refer to, there is no comprehensive, up-to-date list of study spots. Thus, this site aims to close that gap.
This site is targeted towards USC students, present and future, in order to collate student-centric reviews about study spots all around campus, and create a comprehensive, up-to-date list of study spots for fellow Trojans.
The main data for this website will be the study spot locations. The locations table will be populated by entries of study spots, and each entry will contain important information relevant to helping students decide whether they want to go to that location or not. Each student will be able to create an account on the site, where they can log in to check out the list of study spots or post their own review which will contribute to the overall score of each location. This means that much of the data for each location will be tabulated by user reviews. Each factor (wi-fi strength, outlet availability, noise levels) will have their own look-up tables which will give students option to choose from defined ratings. For example, outlet availability will have the options: easy to find available outlet, have to wait for outlet, minimal outlets available, no outlets
